The 5 WORST mistakes made by gaming companies.

 Sometimes I get really angry when a game developer or publisher does something REALLY stupid. These are the top 5 WORST mistakes that these companies made. 

Honorable Mention: Team Cherry: turning Hollow Knight Silksong into the next Half-Life 3.

When Summer Games Fest started, I think all Hollow Knight fans were holding their breath. All we have gotten on this game is random teasers, concept art and pranks. not to mention delayed release dates. Sounds like 2 games: Metroid Prime 4 and Half-Life 3! Team Cherry. PLEASE GIVE US A RELEASE DATE. 

5: Nintendo: Charging us 60$ for games with awful graphics and 1 to 1 remakes of WII U titles.

Good grief. Nintendo needs to work on this. There were 3 things I wanted to put here but I settled on this. I get that you have to make money on selling games BUT 60$?! Nintendo also makes us pay EXTRA to play Splatoon which is my personal favorite. The Switch also is pretty horrible with graphics. I'm surprised you could run DOOM: Eternal without your Switch exploding. I am not paying 60 dollars for a stupid Mario 3d collection with a game that almost made me barf 5 times. (Super Mario Galaxy) I also am not paying 60 dollars for a game that plays better on steam and is 20 dollars.  My selection process for getting a game on Switch is: "Do I want to play it on the go? Does it need an actual system to run its graphics?" I am a big Xbox guy, and you can get better games for WAY cheaper especially if you have game pass. I mean... You can get a Switch Lite for the price of 3 or 4 games! The remakes are also a problem. if the Switch 2.0 still has awful graphics... Then what the heck has Nintendo been doing!?

4: Valve: Not licensing their games.

Valve has some of the best stories in all of gaming. Why are they not capitalizing on this?!

I would eat a Portal tv series UP. With the success of the Fallout tv show, The Halo novels and the Mario movie we are going to see more video game adaptations soon. Instead of getting Portal and Half-Life fans angry keep us busy with a Half-Life film or Comic book! I know there are plenty of fan-made ones, but we need an actually licensed adaptation of Counter-strike or Portal or something.  I really like the Halo novels, but I still think that if Valve did it right a Half-Life novel could be a masterpiece.

3: Disney: Shutting down LucasArts and giving Star Wars to EA.

Yup. Boba Fett is one of my favorite Star Wars characters and this game sounded SICK. I read about it in a gaming book and thought..."Great. Now I hate Disney EVEN MORE." Not to mention the ENTIRE STUDIO WAS SHUT DOWN. this studio was responsible for masterpieces like Star Wars: Republic Commando. AND DISNEY CAME IN WITH AN AXE. Then they HAD to give it to EA?! The Star Wars Battlefront games that EA did SUCK! The OG ones are much better! (I do not like the Jedi games either.) Star Wars 1313 should have come out. It would have been a great game.

2: Microsoft: Giving 343 Industries Halo instead of just letting Bungie keep it.

Halo Infinite sucks. no other way to put it. 343 even made the Master Chief Collection the most broken game on my Xbox. every time I leave the game my screen goes green and purple! Infinite has a mediocre story and bad enemies. why not make a Halo 2: ODST or a game about the Arbiter instead of making the fake Covenant in a crappy 50-dollar campaign? Infinite is literally Halo trying to copy Fortnite. (Which sucks.) 343 Needs to GO. bring back Bungie. They are actually good at making Halo games. 

1: Valve: Driving us crazy by not making 3 installations in the Portal and Half-Life series.

There you have it. Valve is easily my favorite gaming company, but they can really make you angry with dumb HL3 Joke sites. Portal doesn't get much attention in this subject though. Half-Life 3 is something all Half-Life fans have been waiting for YEARS to get. Valve is releasing things like new Counter-Strike installments instead of Half-Life games. Which is understandable. BUT: Valve's biggest fan base is most likely Half-Life. And they have been TORMENTING us HL fans with fake sites and announcements. I also really want a new Portal game. Bridge constructor was sort of a sequel, but we need an actual follow up to Portal 2. Half-Life fans still wait for the third game, and I guess we will be waiting a LONG time.
