Call Of Duty Black Ops 6 multiplayer Review

This is a review for Black Ops 6 Multiplayer ONLY. I have not played the campaign and most of my playtime was in the beta version. There will be no plot section due to this fact.

Pre-Opinion

I only played CoD one from 2003. Never played another CoD game. But when I went into the Xbox summer direct looking for Fallout and Doom news, I found myself picking Black Ops 6 for best in show. I have NEVER wanted to play a game this much since Titanfall 2, Black Mesa and Half Life Alyx. So, when the beta was announced I jumped at the chance to play.

Gameplay

Black Ops 6's gameplay is amazingly fun. The guns are fun to play around with. You keep trying each one until you find your favorite. I like the XM4 Assault Rifle. I'll break down some of the modes individually. And then talk about Gunsmith, Operators and the look of the game.

Kill Order

My favorite mode. it's a classic deathmatch where the first team to 150 points wins. But there's a catch. each team has an HVT or "High Value Target" who has armor plates and when killed gives the other team +5 points. The main goal is to kill your adversaries while keeping an eye out for the enemy HVT. As you can imagine, some people just head straight for the enemy HVT and get themselves killed. I do think the ally HVT is ignored by players a little too much. And the player who is HVT can essentially just camp. But this is still a fun deathmatch mode with a little twist. its enjoyable and satisfying to play.  Taking out the HVT adds an extra level of satisfaction to eliminations.
Player in "Kill Order"
Kill Order is a classic deathmatch with a twist and highly enjoyable. Easily my favorite.

Hardpoint

Hardpoint is a remixed control points mode. The control points move as teams capture them. So, you have to capture all of the points in a row to win. But you can push back your opponent by stealing the point back for your team. To be honest I did not like this mode. I played it in beta and never played it again. It's not focused on eliminations and most of the time the team who captured the first point will just hold it hostage for the rest of the match while some players will always be using cheap tactics in this mode. There are quite a few ways for sweats to win here. Don't like this one.

Deathmatch

It is what it sounds like. Deathmatch is a classic mode for players who just want a good gunfight with no special gimmicks.
Deathmatch
It's essentially HVT without the HVT. It's fun, has no strings attached, and is perfect for new players who want to get into it. The mode can be played on each creative and inventive map and is perfect for any player. The maps for this mode are amazingly fun to play on. My personal favorites are "Derelict" and "Skyline" Derelict is a junkyard full of cover and sniping positions while Skyline is a Penthouse suite full of secret passageways and spots to have massive battles. One hallway in Skyline is particularly nasty.
Derelict loading screen.
There are many other modes as well.

Kill Confirmed: Deathmatch where you must collect enemies dog tags after killing them. this is an interesting mode that I haven't played yet.

Free-For-All: Um... It's in the name. Free for all deathmatch.

Headquarters: King of the hill mode. Capture one point for the required time to win.

Gunfight: 2v2 last team standing.

Control: Classic Control Points mode.

Search & Destroy: Bomb defusal mode with no respawns. Sounds like Counter-Strike.

And last but not least: Domination. I still don't know what this mode is. Seems like CTF meets HQ mode.

And now onto the Gunsmith, Looks and Operators.

The Operators are actually grounded this time. No crazy outfits like Sam from Trick or Treat. I am on the "Keep CoD realistic" side of things. I do not want Call of Duty to start looking like a Halo game or something similar. Weirdness is okay if given out in small amounts in CoD. Warzone attempted to copy Fortnite with stupid outfits. There are some crazy outfits but only for Pre-orders. I like the roster so far. There are a few that don't look good at all. (Payne and Rossi) Stone was my go-to in the beta and now I use Woods.
Operators Adler and Park.

Gunsmith is fun. I had never really used features like that in the past, but I do like how they let you customize your gun to your play style. I built a XM4 AR (My go to weapon) for accuracy and when I needed my gun out quick. Quick warning: The multiplayer is super sweaty, and campers are plentiful. The XM4 is a great starting gun. But some people may not want to swap over to more advanced guns. The Gunsmith and gunplay are as excellent as ever.  Combat is smooth and satisfying and there are a wide range of playstyles to try. I like how lost health is based on the part of the body that was hit rather than just getting headshots. This is the first game I've played that actually does this and I wish more games did the advanced hitboxes. The Maps are varying in quality. Skyline, Derelict and Subsonic are amazingly fun to play on, but maps like Vault, Payback and Protocol have WAY too many camping spots. One building in Vault is essentially the only point you need to control to win, prone players in Payback hide behind corners and take cheap shots, and windows and corners in Protocol are absurd. Some maps you can get lost easily in like Lowtown and Red card because they are just WAY TOO BIG. And some like Rewind and Vorkuta are just okay. Most maps are new and inventive and are fun to play on, however.

Post-Opinion

Call Of Duty Black Ops 6 is one of the first "New" FPS games I have enjoyed. Destiny is older than some people expect, Quake Champions is from 2022, and Halo Infinite is a dumpster fire. But this is the best FPS game I have played released in the last 2 years. Call of Duty Black Ops 6 hits the mark on everything. The weapons are great and fun to play around with, the maps are good, Graphics are amazing, and the multiplayer gunfights are the best I've played in a while. Bo6's multiplayer is amazing but is semi messed up by campers and Sweats. Some perks, Guns, and maps should be edited but overall, the game is great.

Here are the scores.

Gameplay: 93

Gameplay is where this game really shines. I would put it higher if not for Sweats and Campers. They kind of screw it up.

Soundtrack: 60

Wait... There's a soundtrack?!

Graphics: 93

Some of the best graphics I've seen in an FPS game period.

Overall: 90🌟

Call of Duty Black Ops 6 hits the mark in almost every way. The gameplay is smooth and fun, The Graphics are some of the best and the game has one of the best multiplayers to date. However, there are just too many Sweats and camping spots for a higher score.  But even with them you have a game of the year candidate.

Vampire Survivors Video Game Review.

Pre-Opinion Game's cover. When I first saw this game, I saw someone playing it on Xbox game pass. I though... "All you do is move. That looks like a very meh game." But when I saw a friend playing it on Steam Deck, I had a second thought. I was getting bored of Halo and already beat Half-Life, so I was looking for something to play. This was on game pass, so I gave it a shot. NOTE: Plot section is being left out. There isn't really any plot. Soundtrack Oh, the soundtrack.... it's really good. In its Steam trailer a reviewer says it's like popping bubble wrap to sick beats. This is pretty true. My favorite tracks are probably the Among Us ones. I really like the themes for the adventure levels and the early stages. I actually listened to the Among Us Polus Replica theme while writing this. The themes are all retro like going back to games like Castlevania (which influences this game A LOT.) But others are a bit more modern (Emergency Meeting) This soundtrack ...

Reformat!

I recently looked at this site and thought it looked... a little unprofessional. So, I reformatted it! What do you think? Also: I have come across a lot of times I wanted to write video game guides but could not do it on this page. But you can see where I pushed the barrier of "Reviews Blog." So, if you want to see it click right  HERE!

Portal Review

Pre-Opinion I HATE PUZZLE GAMES. Games like Tetris and the like can get repetitive and lame fast. But love FPS games. Portal is a little bit like both. I got it for... less than 1.98$ (23% off.) A friend of mine had bought it for his switch and had enjoyed the games. I purchased Portal a few Steam sales later.   NOTE: All screenshots are from my playthrough. Plot The Plot for Portal is actually pretty straightforward. A psychotic robot named GlaDOS has trapped you inside the Aperture Science Labotories and puts you through rigorous tests with the promise of cake. But the lore is INSANE. Portal probably has the biggest lore base in gaming. (Unless its Half-Life.)  An early test chamber with some turrets. The lore claims Chell is a survivor of "Bring Your Daughter to Work Day." Where legendary villain GlaDOS gassed the entire complex with neurotoxin. This was shown in Portal 2 from some creepy graffiti and a line from Wheatly. Afterwards GlaDOS took all the surv...
